And especially those which, from March 16th to 18th, will participate in the Saut Hermès 2018 show jumping competition, which will again take place under the magnificent steel and glass dome of the Grand Palais in Paris.

A must-see competition

An internationally renowned tournament, the Saut Hermès welcomes the best riders in the world, who take on the most challenging obstacles with style and elegance. The Prix du Grand Palais opens the event, followed by the Talents Hermès, which brings together riders of under 25 years of age. The nave of the Grand Palais is turned into a colossal arena for the duration of this CSI 5* (the highest level of international competition) show. Hooves pounding the ground, sleek muscles stretching beneath skin, the perfect synchronisation of rider and horse, the heart-stopping moment when the obstacle is cleared; it’s all here in this unforgettable event.

A thought for Thierry H.

Thierry is Monsieur Hermès, the founder of the Hermès fashion house. The saddler-harness maker opened his first workshop near the Place de la Madeleine in 1837. Like his sons and descendants, he loved horses and so made harnesses and saddles that were beautifully worked. The company later began making baggage as elegant as it was practical before embarking on sportswear and finally fashion design, with a degree of success that has made the Hermès brand known throughout the world.
