Retromobile; paradise for car buffs
Carmakers and mechanics, artists and restorers, clubs and federations, spare parts and tools suppliers, dealers in scale models and automobile memorabilia, rally organisers and auction houses, traders and insurers; a wealth of exhibitors representing all trades in the sector attend this internationally renowned show every year. All the major marques will be in attendance, too, including Bentley, Jaguar, Maserati, Porsche, BMW, Citroën, Ferrari and various smaller specialists. Cars, motorcycles, tanks and trucks share the exhibition space with thirty models of rare tractors, some of them centenarians, on loan from museums and private collections.
A wide variety of entertainment
This year, Rétromobile pays tribute to Jean-Pierre Wimille (1908-1949), one of the greatest motor racing drivers of the 20th century, who competed internationally for the Bugatti and Alfa Romeo teams. Also present will be Youngtimers, an automotive magazine dedicated to the cult cars of the 1970s to 1990s. However, the highlight of the show will be, as always, the auction of vintage cars which this year takes place on February 7th. This is an event of international scope featuring an unrivalled selection of rare vehicles.
